✝️ Ancient Jesus Ring

Goodbye, religion

Emails on Tuesdays & Thursdays!

Hey there, faithful flock! Tucking right into it, did you hear about Pastor Wilson of Meadowbrook Baptist Church? Man took two bullets to defend his secretary! Straight out of a Texas showdown, except this cowboy rides with a Bible and a spirit tougher than a two-dollar steak.

Let’s dive into today’s newsletter!

Ancient Jesus Ring

Sweet mercy, they found a 15th-century gold ring with Jesus' face in Sweden. Still sparkling!
That’s intriguing. What was the context?
Part of a massive dig in Kalmar. Unearthed 30,000 medieval goodies over two years.
Wow, sounds extensive. What else did they find?
Everything from ancient cellars to a rune stone. Even a cat left its paw mark in a brick.
A cat’s paw print? That’s oddly heartwarming. But back to the ring, why’s it significant?
It’s a peek into faith back then. Imagine wearing a tiny gold Jesus on your finger.
True. It shows personal devotion. Reminds me of Matthew 6:21.
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Spot on.
Exactly. Artifacts like that ring tell stories of belief and value.
And archeology? That’s our time machine. Marvel at their world, learn for ours.
It’s fascinating. Through these finds, we connect with the past, appreciating God’s sovereignty throughout history.
Couldn’t have said it better. History's not just tales; it’s His story woven through time.

Is Religion Dying?

The Skeptic
Pew Research did a study, Feb 13-25, interviewed 12,693 US adults.
Interesting, what'd they find?
80% think religion's role in public life is shrinking.
Not just believers, even nonreligious folks are noticing.
That's a significant number. Why the concern?
Seems like people, regardless of their faith, miss the positive impacts religion traditionally brought to society.
Makes sense. Relationships, morals, community support.
And 48% feel their beliefs clash with mainstream culture. That's up from 42% in 2020. A sign of growing cultural tension.
About 49% of all adults see religion’s decline as bad.
We definitely need more believers advocating for Biblical principles.
Scripture teaches us to be in the world, not of it. John 17:16.
Oh and get this… 94% value a moral and ethical life in a president.
Really? I find that hard to believe 🤣
