Christian college attacked?

Hey, did you catch the news about Grand Canyon University getting sued by the FTC?
GCU? That's the biggest Christian university, right? What's going on?
Yep, that's the one. The FTC's all over them for deceptive advertising and shady telemarketing.
Deceptive advertising? What exactly did they do?
They allegedly told students their doctoral program was faster than it really is, and they called it a non-profit when it's not.
So it's just a mix-up with their marketing?
It's bigger than that. They're looking at a hefty compensation to students and a refrain from breaking the law again.
Wow, that's pretty serious. How's the university responding?
They're saying it's a targeted attack because of their status and that their disclosures are actually clearer than required.
They believe they're being singled out? I suppose that could be distressing.
For sure. They got fined $37.7 million by the Department of Education before this too.
That's a massive fine! Are the students okay?
GCU claims they're thriving, but who really knows? And the CEO, Mueller, he's set to fight this hard.
Hopefully, they're operating with integrity.
That's the hope, right? They're supposed to follow their own teachings, after all.
Exactly. “Better the poor whose walk is blameless than the rich whose ways are perverse.” Proverbs 28:6.
