We made it to week four of January! Marching into your inbox today are some controversial topics. Almost as controversial as the argument you had with grandma when she told you the family cat is waiting for you in Heaven. But don’t worry… we’ll end it with some trivia to level up your spiritual knowledge.

Should Children Trans?

Hey, did you catch wind of the PCA's letter to Biden?

PCA?

Oh, the Presbyterian Church in America?

Right. They're stirred up about trans surgeries for minors.

In what way exactly?

They say it's impossible to change biological sex. It ain't honoring God's design.

Ah, the male and female He created them bit from Genesis.

Spot on. They think these surgeries harm kids, against God's care for 'em.

And what’s Biden's stance?

Well, his admin seems more open to it. Thus, the PCA protest.

That’s a tough sell to a secular gov, using the Bible as a basis.

Agreed, but they're pushing for protection of minors, using votes.

Speaking of transitions, heard about Hailey Davidson in golf?

The transgender golfer?

Yup. Hailey's win is raising eyebrows.

Even with hormone therapy, there’re residual male advantages. The science is clear.

Golf's now polling for trans inclusion policies due to this.

Only if they saw gender as more than just a social constructs…

So what pronouns we using for Hailey? I don't want to provoke.

Just Hailey. At least it’s uncontroversial, right?

Have you heard about the Angel Moms testifying before Congress?

No, what’s that about?

Two mothers shared heart-wrenching stories. Their daughters were victims of crimes linked to illegal immigrants. They blame lax border policies for their loss.

That's awful. What happened?

One mom, Tammy Nobles, her 20-year-old daughter, Kayla, was murdered by a suspected MS-13 gang member. Another, Josephine Dunn, lost her daughter to a fentanyl overdose.

Truly tragic. How are they linking this to policies?

They argue that stronger enforcement at the border might have prevented these individuals or drugs from entering the U.S.

And what are they asking for?

Nobles is suing the DHS for $100M. She says her daughter's murder could've been avoided if they’d checked the assailant's background more thoroughly.

This is a complex issue, but the human cost is clear. Scripture speaks to justice and care for the suffering. "He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow" (Deuteronomy 10:18).

Absolutely, it’s a painful reminder that policies have real-world impacts on people’s lives.

It's vital for our leaders to seek wisdom and uphold justice, balancing compassion with the rule of law. Our prayers should be for those mourning, for justice, and that our leaders act wisely.

Bible Trivia!

The “Jesus fish” dates back to the early days of Christianity when believers faced persecution. As a secret recognition symbol, they would draw one arc of the fish in the sand, and if the other person completed the drawing, it indicated they were a fellow Christian.
